About Nimer

Nimer Said is a senior clinical psychologist, certified group psychotherapist (CGP), and organizational consultant based in Haifa, with over twenty years of experience in psychotherapy, psychodiagnostics, and group and organizational work.

He holds an MA in Clinical Psychology with distinction from Tel Aviv University, an LLB, and certification as a group psychotherapist from the American Group Psychotherapy Association, following a decade of professional study in New York.

After completing his academic training, he served his clinical internship in the psychiatric department of Ziv Medical Center in Safed, working in parallel at the Hof HaGalil clinic in Nahariya; toward the end of the internship he opened his private practice in Haifa. Since 2000 he has been a senior clinical psychologist at the adult mental-health clinic of Clalit Health Services, Northern District, in Nof HaGalil.

In the private clinic, children, adolescents, and adults receive focused and dynamic psychotherapy, with particular expertise in psychological trauma and anxiety disorders. Nimer also supervises clinical psychologists during their internship period.

Alongside the clinical work, he has practiced psychodiagnostic assessment for twenty years, providing expert opinions to the courts in the areas of torts and personal injury, custody and out-of-home placement, adoption, parental capacity, and parental alienation — working with the Youth Guardianship Authority, the Probation Service for Youth, and the Child Welfare Service. Between 2008 and 2013 he served as consultant to the assistance unit of the Family Court in Nazareth.

His organizational-consulting expertise was shaped through OFEK — the Israeli association for the study of organizational and social processes — and through extensive participation as staff member in conferences and study days in group psychotherapy and organizational consulting in Israel and around the world.
